Air Conditioning Installation Morphett Vale
Air conditioning installation in Morphett Vale starts with the house, not the catalogue. Morphett Vale Air Conditioning sizes and fits split and ducted systems for homes across the south, with the price fixed before anyone lifts a tool.
We're on this side of the city most weeks, from Wheatsheaf Road to Southgate Plaza. Morphett Vale is home turf, and the southern suburbs around it are our regular run.
The Local Team Morphett Vale Homeowners Call for Air Conditioning Installation
We're a family business with a decade of work behind us across Greater Adelaide, and the south is where we spend most of it. Every install is quoted at a fixed price, carried out under ARC Licence L162586, and backed by a Lifetime Labour Warranty on workmanship.
When Your Old Aircon Stops Keeping Up
Some systems fade slowly and some give up on the first hot Saturday. Either way, there are clear signs it's time to talk about a new one:
It runs all day and never catches up
Repairs are stacking up
The power bill has crept up
Parts are getting hard to find
If you're not sure which side of the line you're on, our air conditioning repairs team can give you an honest answer. We'll tell you when a repair still makes sense.
What an Air Conditioning Installation Involves
A proper install is more than mounting a box on a wall. Here's the sequence for a typical job:
Design and sizing
Equipment selection
Mounting and pipework
Commissioning
Split System or Ducted: Fitting the System to the Street
Most of Morphett Vale was built out between the late 1960s and the early 1980s, and that stock is dominated by single-storey brick-veneer family homes. Brick veneer holds an outdoor unit securely and gives clean cable access, which keeps a split install straightforward.
Where Ducted Fits
Homes on the bigger blocks along Sherriffs Road and Flaxmill Road often have the roof space for ducted. Zoning lets you cool the living areas by day and the bedrooms by night. See our ducted air conditioning and split system pages for the full comparison.
The cottages are another story. The older stone homes near the original township have solid walls and smaller cavities, which change what's practical. We inspect before we quote rather than promising a design that won't fit.
What Drives Your Aircon Installation Cost
Two homes on the same street can get different quotes, and the reasons are usually straightforward:
System type and capacity
Run lengths
Roof and cavity access
Electrical work
Every one of these gets checked at the site visit, so the number you see on the quote is the number you pay. That's Fixed Upfront Pricing, and it applies to every job.
How it works
How We Install Your Air Conditioning
Four steps, no surprises:
-
Step 1: Call and Book
Ring (08) 8246 6282 and describe the home and what you want. We'll set a time that suits you, including after hours if that's what your week allows.
-
Step 2: Home Visit and Check
We measure the spaces, look at the roof space, and check the switchboard. You get a system recommendation based on what's actually there.
-
Step 3: Your Written Price
The quote arrives fixed and itemised, covering equipment, labour and any electrical work. No hourly rates, no bill shock, and no pressure on the day.
-
Step 4: Install Day
Our licensed team does the work, tests every function, and walks you through the controls. We clean up before we go, and the warranty paperwork comes with the job.
Why a Proper Install Matters for Your Cooling Bills
An install done badly costs you for years, not weeks. These are the points we refuse to cut:
Right Size, Right Bill
An oversized unit short-cycles and wastes power. An undersized one never catches up in a heatwave. We size for the worst week of summer, and the star rating on the unit does the rest.
Placement and Airflow
An outdoor unit crammed against a fence chokes its own airflow and works harder than it should. We place units for airflow, service access and quiet, which matters on medium-density streets.
Clean Cable Runs
Neat pipework and sealed penetrations keep pests and weather out of your walls. Brick veneer hides ugly runs well, but that's no reason to leave them ugly.
Tested Before We Leave
Every mode, every zone, every temperature. A system that hasn't been commissioned properly can be low on charge from day one and never cool the way it should.
Why Choose Our Installation Team
Plenty of outfits can hang a unit on a wall. Here's what you get with us:
Fixed Upfront Pricing
The quote is fixed before any work starts. You know the full figure before we arrive, not after.
Lifetime Labour Warranty
If a fault occurs due to workmanship, the team returns and fixes it at no cost. That promise doesn't expire when the ute leaves.
ARC Licence L162586
We hold the RAC01 - Full Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Licence, which covers installation and refrigerant handling. It's the strongest ARC classification, and it's current in SA.
Family Business, Local Run
Ten years operating, family-owned, and most of our work within a short drive of Wilfred Taylor Reserve. You're dealing with people who live on this side of the city.
Questions
Installation Questions, Answered
How long does a typical installation take?
A single split system is usually done in a day. Ducted installs often run to two days, depending on roof space and how many outlets the design calls for.
What decides the price of a new system?
System type, capacity and the layout of your home all play a part. Brick veneer walls, tight roof cavities and long duct runs each add work, and we price all of it upfront.
Can ducted air conditioning go into an older cottage?
Often yes, though the heritage stone cottages near the old town centre have smaller roof cavities and solid stone walls. We inspect before quoting, and we'll say plainly if ducted isn't the right fit.
Do you take away the old unit?
Yes. Decommissioning, refrigerant recovery and removal of the old unit are part of the job we quote, so you're not left with it on the nature strip or in the garage.
Which system suits a home here best?
Most homes here suit a well-sized split system or ducted setup. Evaporative cooling runs cheap in dry heat but it needs windows open and it won't heat, so it suits some households and not others.
